Vient is a local SEO, answer engine optimization (AEO), and web design studio in Logan, Utah, run by Caden Sorenson. We build websites for small businesses across Cache Valley, then work to get them ranked on Google and named when someone asks ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Google's AI for a recommendation.

Caden is a senior staff engineer with 15+ years of experience and a Computer Science degree from Utah State University. That background does more for SEO than it sounds like it would. Most of what gets a local business cited by an AI answer is technical work: structured data, fast pages that crawlers can read, and business facts that match everywhere they appear.

What we do

  • Local SEO, covering Google Business Profile work, LocalBusiness schema, and a real page for each service and town a business serves. Details are on the SEO services page.
  • AI answer optimization (AEO), so ChatGPT and Google's AI answers can find a business and name it. Our guide on getting recommended by ChatGPT walks through the steps.
  • Websites and redesigns for Cache Valley businesses, built in code so the SEO is ours to control, including sites moved off AI site builders.
  • Apps and browser extensions: iOS apps, web tools, and extensions, each with a build log.

The client work behind it

We built and optimized the site for Cub River, a retail client near the Utah-Idaho line. It ranks on the first page of Google for its own name and near the top of the regional searches its customers use. That came from LocalBusiness schema, on-page content, and Google Business Profile work.

Diamond Pest Pro is a multi-location build in the Carolinas, with a page for each of its four branches and twelve services plus LocalBusiness and FAQPage structured data. The local SEO engagement is still early, so there are no ranking numbers to report yet. Griffin Renovation, a Cache Valley client, started on an AI site builder and got rebuilt in code to take back control of its SEO.

We also built ShipReady, a free scanner that runs 35+ SEO and AEO checks on a URL, including whether AI crawlers are allowed in and whether the site has an llms.txt file. Every client site is on the projects page, and each project has a build log covering the stack, the hard parts, and the mistakes.

Travel Vient

Vient also runs Travel Vient, an independent travel research site with every fact cited to primary sources. Its tools were built here, and their build logs live on this site.
