Vient is the independent software studio of Caden Sorenson, a senior staff engineer with 15+ years of experience building iOS apps, web platforms, and developer tools. Based in Logan, Utah, with a Computer Science degree from Utah State University.
The studio runs on a simple premise: ship small, useful software, and write down how it was actually built. Every project here has a matching build log that covers the stack, the hard parts, and the mistakes, including how AI tools like Claude fit into the workflow. No sanitized success stories.

Travel Vient
Our biggest product is Travel Vient, an independent travel research site covering airline carry-on policies, packing lists, and head-to-head airline, cruise, and destination comparisons, with every fact cited to primary sources. The tools and widgets that power it were built here, and their build logs live on this site.
